• Work model: 100% onsite (office-first), central Stockholm

Description

You will modernize legacy code and improve user experience by refactoring and enhancing an existing web codebase. The role focuses on both backend and frontend work, including migrating code between repositories with design improvements and optimizing performance. You’ll also pick up the client’s current stack, including PHP/Laravel and Vue.

Responsibilities

• Refactor legacy code to align with modern development practices

• Move code from repository A to repository B with design enhancements

• Collaborate with the web-core team to improve the code and technology stack

• Profile code performance and optimize for efficiency

• Troubleshoot and debug as required

• Contribute to maintainable and scalable code architecture

• Communicate progress and challenges with the team

Requirements

• Extensive experience with PHP/Laravel or other programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Kotlin, or Java

• Proven expertise in Vue.js or other frontend frameworks such as React or Angular

• Strong backend and frontend development skills

• Ability to understand and work with legacy code

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

• Experience from tech-savvy organizations

• Fluent English
