Description

Lead an HR Consulting team supporting complex people matters across Engineering and Gaming. Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, CELA, and global stakeholders to strengthen manager capability, deliver enterprise HR programs, and foster an inclusive, human-centered workplace. Shape consulting strategy and drive adoption of AI-enabled, data-informed people solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an HR Consulting team through transformation; set priorities and ensure consulting quality and outcomes
  • Coach the team on insight-driven advisory work, organizational health assessments, and capability-building for business leaders
  • Identify trends and translate engagement insights into clear recommendations for business and HR decision-making
  • Oversee complex employee relations matters, ensuring consistent escalation and timely resolution
  • Partner with Workplace Investigations, Global Employee Relations, Legal (CELA), Security, and Communications; lead investigations where appropriate
  • Design and champion solutions that support an open, inclusive workplace while balancing immediate and long-term needs
  • Lead HR programs and continuous improvement cycles (e.g., Rhythm of Business, performance and development, manager excellence communities)
  • Advance simplification and effectiveness across HR Consulting ways of working; contribute to global/regional initiative design
  • Set consulting strategy aligned to business priorities; synthesize regional trends to inform HR strategy and organizational design
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled, digital, and automated HR consulting solutions; promote human-centered, ethical, compliant innovation
  • Partner with HR COEs, Product, Digital HR, and Analytics to leverage listening systems, insights, and automation
  • Build team capability for responsible AI use and continuous learning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 9+ years experience with human resources or business programs/processes OR Master’s degree AND 6+ years experience with human resources or business programs/processes OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years people management (or equivalent)

Benefits

  • Typical U.S. base pay range (HR Consulting M6): USD $130,900–$277,200/year; Bay Area and NYC metro: USD $165,600–$303,600/year
  • Eligible for benefits and other compensation (per Microsoft corporate pay and benefits information)
  • Position open for a minimum of 5 days; applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled
