Description

Shape an organization-wide, data-driven analytics ecosystem by defining standards and ensuring end-to-end data flow quality. The role coordinates with audience research, development teams, and other product stakeholders to deliver consistent, accurate tracking and actionable reporting for product and editorial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain analytics standards across platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a product analytics framework for consistent tracking of user interactions across digital products.
  • Lead website tagging strategy and implementation using Tealium Tag Manager, Google Tag Manager, and analytics pixels, including deployment, QA, troubleshooting, and cross-team coordination for accurate event tracking and data integrity.
  • Manage and maintain the data warehouse, including design, data pipeline maintenance, schema/data modeling, performance tuning, backups, and security and access controls; monitor costs and data quality.
  • Troubleshoot problematic analytics data with Audience & Growth colleagues.
  • Create practical implementation guidelines for development teams (event tagging, tracking architecture, and tool integration).
  • Oversee data flow from digital products through tag management systems to reporting and visualization tools.
  • Align analytics implementations with business goals and KPIs through cross-functional partnership.
  • Coordinate benchmarking and knowledge sharing to identify and promote best practices.
  • Act as product owner for analytics-related features/tools, translating needs into actionable development tasks.
  • Ensure privacy and security compliance for data collection and reporting.
  • Stay up to date on analytics tracking changes and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Digital Media, or related technical discipline (or equivalent education and relevant experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Product Management, Product Analytics, or Web Analytics.
  • 4–5+ years owning or managing digital analytics solutions.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing product analytics frameworks across multiple digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of analytics architecture, tagging frameworks, event tracking, and data flows.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and BigQuery (or similar data warehouse solutions).
  • Ability to translate complex analytical requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong planning, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and their impact on analytics practices.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
