Description

You will manage and support IBM zSeries storage infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment. The role includes hands-on installation, design, upgrades, and operational support for IBM storage and virtualization components. You’ll also handle incident/change/problem management and perform capacity planning to ensure scalable storage growth.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on management of zSeries Storage infrastructure: hardware installation, design, upgrades, and support (DSCLI scripting, HMC GUI)

• Deploy and support IBM DS8K disk hardware and Virtual Tape Solutions (TS7700)

• Manage Broadcom (Brocade) DCX hardware, including FICON/Fibre configurations, SanNav, and MAPS utilization

• Support incident, change, and problem management processes

• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for storage growth

• Collaborate across teams to identify risks and implement solutions proactively

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with zSeries Storage Management

• Strong experience with IBM DS8K disk installation, design, upgrade, and support (DSCLI scripting, HMC GUI)

• Experience with IBM Virtual Tape Solutions (TS7700)

• Knowledge of Broadcom (Brocade) DCX hardware and FICON/Fibre concepts

• Solid understanding of IBM core technologies: z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, IWS

• Expertise in IBM storage solutions: DFHSM, DFDSS, ICKDSF, DFSMS (OAM), TDMF, GDPS, CSM

• Familiarity with Broadcom (CA) products: CA1, CA Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate, CA View

• English communication skills at a communicative level
