Description

You will administer and develop storage and backup environments across MS Azure/AWS and on-premises systems. The work includes planning, testing, and deploying storage/backup infrastructure changes, ensuring availability, performance, and capacity, and maintaining proactive monitoring. You will also automate operational/admin processes, investigate incidents with root cause analysis (RCA), collaborate with infrastructure teams and external vendors, and handle expert on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop storage and backup environments (cloud and on-prem)

• Plan, test, and implement changes to storage and backup infrastructure

• Manage availability, performance, and capacity of storage/backup systems

• Participate in development projects related to storage and backup

• Ensure correct operation of systems and run proactive monitoring

• Automate administrative and operational processes

• Resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA)

• Cooperate with infrastructure teams and external suppliers

• Serve as an expert on-call (on-call duty)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in storage administration

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backup administration, with strong experience in Commvault and BRMS

• Very good knowledge of data replication (e.g., Storage Replication, FlashCopy, CSM)

• Very good knowledge of backup and data archiving

• Knowledge of data storage technologies (block, file, object storage) and data deduplication

• Experience administering tape libraries (LTO, JF)

• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

• Basic knowledge of SAN network administration and operations

• Experience in environments with high security and availability requirements

• Experience administering large, complex production environments

• English knowledge enabling ongoing communication

• Availability for on-call duty
