Description

Work on operating and expanding a large university network across many buildings, multiple geographically separated sites, thousands of active devices, wireless networks, VPN, firewalls, and connections to research and academic networks. You will administer LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, manage Aruba network equipment and Fortinet firewalls, handle VPN/IPsec, monitor traffic, analyze incidents, and design and implement new solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and develop the campus network

  • Troubleshoot and support LAN, WAN, and Wi‑Fi environments

  • Manage Aruba network equipment

  • Manage Fortinet firewalls

  • Support VPN and IPsec technologies

  • Monitor, analyze network traffic, and resolve incidents

  • Collaborate with server, virtualization, database, and cybersecurity teams

  • Design and implement new solutions

  • Contribute to infrastructure modernization

Requirements

  • Good orientation in TCP/IP networks

  • Experience with L2/L3 technologies

  • Knowledge of VLAN, VPN, and routing

  • Experience administering network devices and firewalls

  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and find root causes

  • Practical medior or senior level experience

  • Experience, independence, and willingness to move the environment forward are more important than certifications
