Description

Design, develop, and implement network security strategies based on best practices and current security standards. Implement and oversee network security solutions (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, NAT, switches, routers), perform regular security assessments and audits, and drive continuous improvements. Provide security and risk analyses for management and support structured reporting, while managing security processes across incident, problem, change, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the conception, development, and implementation of network security strategies
• Implement and monitor network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, NAT, switches, routers)
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits; define improvement measures
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure a robust and secure network architecture
• Create and prepare security and risk analyses for management and support structured reporting
• Steer and further develop network security processes, including incident management, problem management, change management, and configuration management
• Consult on and deliver IT security projects of medium to high complexity

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT Security (or related) or equivalent training
• Several years of experience in network security, ideally including project leadership
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Knowledge of cryptology and access control
• Excellent expertise in terminal server technologies and Privileged Access Management
• In-depth understanding of ISO 2700x and IT-Grundschutz
• Analytical thinking, high ownership, excellent communication skills
• Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to travel (< 20%)
• German C1 and English B1
