Description

You will design network solutions from topology to selecting the right components—covering routing, switching (L3+), and security. You will work as a technical partner to translate customer needs into a solution that makes technical and financial sense, and you will provide methodical oversight so the network is built exactly as designed. You will also maintain an up-to-date view of vendor capabilities (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson, Fortinet) to choose the best-fit options for each assignment.

Responsibilities

• Design network solutions (routing, switching, L3+, security)
• Translate customer requirements into buildable technical designs (from enterprise LAN to ISP backbone)
• Ensure realization matches the proposed design through methodological guidance
• Keep a portfolio overview of what key vendors can deliver and what fits each task
• Build technical authority so sales and technical teams come to you for guidance

Requirements

• Experience with IP networks: routing, switching, addressing, VLANs (operations, implementation, internal IT, or ISP environments)
• Ability to communicate complex IT/network topics clearly to non-technical people and justify the technical design
• Ability to drive work to completion so designs can be implemented in real projects
