Description

You will develop and maintain custom software for industrial and laboratory automation using Python. The role focuses on integrating sensors, cameras, robots, PLCs, laser systems, and other hardware via vendor SDKs/APIs, designing synchronized data acquisition, and enabling communication between multiple systems (e.g., REST API, TCP/IP, OPC UA, serial, or proprietary interfaces). You will also build tools for configuration, diagnostics, monitoring, and testing, and process and analyze acquired data to support technical and research activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain bespoke automation software in Python

• Integrate measuring devices and hardware (sensors, cameras, robots, PLCs, laser systems, etc.) using SDKs and APIs

• Implement reliable, synchronized data acquisition systems

• Build software communication between systems using REST API, TCP/IP, OPC UA, serial communication, and/or proprietary vendor interfaces

• Automate recurring technical workflows using scripts and software tools

• Design modular, maintainable, and well-documented software architecture

• Create tools for device configuration, diagnostics, monitoring, and testing

• Process, visualize, and analyze collected data for technical and research activities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate software into experimental and production environments

• Support deployment, testing, and maintenance of software solutions

Requirements

• University degree ideally in a technical field (IT, automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or related)

• Python programming knowledge

• Technical thinking, curiosity, and a drive to find working solutions

• Interest in automation, data acquisition, and integrating software with hardware

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• English for technical documentation and team communication
