Description

Design, develop, and support production Python async systems that power trading strategies and real-time event handling. Work closely with data scientists and traders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Balance rapid prototyping for product hypotheses with high-quality, production-level code for core systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support new Python-based async systems and services

• Collaborate with data scientists and traders

• Coordinate with the Python Lead to maintain code quality standards

• Rapidly prototype to validate commercial/product-level hypotheses

• Continuously improve codebase quality, ideally by leading by example

Requirements

• Strong production experience with Python and asynchronous programming

• Deep knowledge of asyncio

• Ability to work in a high-volume, real-time environment with maximum responsiveness and performance

• Commitment to balancing fast prototyping with high-quality production code

• Ability to understand and incorporate trading department needs into technical solutions
