Description

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python using FastAPI and Starlette, including secure authentication and authorization (OIDC, SAML, JWT, SSO). Build scalable REST APIs and microservices, plus event-driven and streaming architectures using AWS messaging services and Redis. Develop frontend applications with React/Next.js or similar and support AI-enabled solutions in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in Python (FastAPI/Starlette)
• Implement authentication/authorization using OIDC, SAML, JWT, and SSO
• Integrate with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD, Okta)
• Build asynchronous/concurrent Python applications
• Create event-driven and streaming architectures using AWS messaging services and Redis
• Develop REST APIs and microservices focused on scalability, security, and reliability
• Build and maintain frontend applications (React/Next.js or similar)
• Work with AWS services: EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Write unit and integration tests; maintain high code quality
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, security, and reliability
• Collaborate with data, cloud, AI, and product teams
• Contribute to AI-enabled solutions using MCP, RAG, and agentic AI
• Support production systems, incident resolution, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 7+ years of Python backend development
• Strong authentication background: OIDC, SAML, JWT, SSO
• Hands-on experience with MCP, RAG, and agentic AI
• Strong end-to-end software engineering background (design, development, testing, deployment, production support)
• Clean architecture, SOLID, and design patterns
• Experience designing robust, scalable APIs and microservices
• Strong asynchronous programming, concurrency, caching, and fault tolerance
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience including compute, networking, IAM
• React/Next.js (or similar) frontend experience
• Docker, CI/CD, and GitHub Workflows experience
• Terraform or CloudFormation
• Software quality practices: automated testing, code reviews, static analysis
• Agile environment experience
• Problem-solving, communication, and ownership
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a fast-moving agentic AI environment
