Description

Own the analytical methodology and evaluation rigor behind AI-based workflows, directing model selection, cohort/segmentation science, and agent decision logic in partnership with Engineering and Governance. Design segmentation methodologies using real-world data and ensure methodological rigor and defensibility for agentic workflows. Partner with an AI/ML Engineer to translate analytical methodology into production-grade agents and pipelines, and communicate insights and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own model selection and evaluation frameworks for AI-based workflows

  • Design cohort and customer/HCP segmentation methodology using real-world data sources

  • Direct analytical logic and decisioning behind agentic workflows to ensure methodological rigor

  • Partner with the AI/ML Engineer to translate methodology into production-grade agents and pipelines

  • Support strategic planning with regard to medical/analytical priorities

  • Collaborate with Data Architect/Data Analyst to align outputs with data model and quality standards

  • Communicate generated insights and analytical trade-offs to business and technical stakeholders

  • Identify new data inputs, analytical techniques, and evaluation approaches to improve workflow quality and adoption

  • Mentor and coach junior data scientists and data engineering colleagues

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Clinical Informatics, or similar

  • Experience (8+ years with Bachelor’s; 7+ with Master’s; 5+ with PhD) in data science, notably in healthcare

  • Healthcare/pharma data experience including claims, EHR, and HEDIS/OMOP frameworks

  • Hands-on experience evaluating and experimenting with LLMs and agentic systems

  • Ability to independently lead projects and support colleagues’ growth

  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Strong English verbal and written communication across scientific/technical, promotional, patient/consumer, regulatory, and media contexts

  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical medicine business: clinical trial design, GCP, data interpretation, regulatory and promotional rules/guidance, legal/compliance, and issue management

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $162,900.00 to $271,500.00
