• Role: IT Systems Manager / IT Department Lead

Description

Lead and organize the IT department to ensure a reliable, secure operation of the company’s IT infrastructure—from networks and servers to IT security, backups, and access rights. You will coordinate internal processes and external IT vendors, troubleshoot technical issues, and support technology projects across energy and electromobility (e.g., BESS, FVE, EMS, charging infrastructure). This is a hands-on leadership role focused on technical ownership, prioritization, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize daily work of the IT department; assign tasks, set priorities, and verify completion

• Ensure reliable operation of corporate IT infrastructure

• Manage networks, servers, and HW/SW equipment

• Handle IT security, backups, and access permission administration

• Coordinate external IT suppliers

• Set up and improve internal IT processes

• Provide technical support to other company departments

• Support company technology projects and data/communication integration of devices

• Collaborate on BESS, FVE, EMS, and charging technologies

• Diagnose technical problems and find root causes

• Oversee IT documentation and standardization

• Develop and lead members of the IT team

Requirements

• Experience with IT infrastructure and networking

• Strong orientation in Linux, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, and networking technologies

• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365

• Overview of servers, virtualization, backups, and cybersecurity

• Ability to troubleshoot and identify real causes of problems

• Experience in leading people (or strong potential to lead a small technical team)

• Ability to plan, prioritize, delegate, and control task completion

• Independence and accountability

• Communication ability with technicians, project leaders, and company management

• English or German sufficient for technical documentation and communication
