Description

Support the delivery of a large-scale financial crime Transaction Monitoring initiative, including new data integrations, scenario development, testing, and deployment across multiple European markets. Manage contextual monitoring capabilities with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, model governance, validation, and remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and continuously manage Transaction Monitoring models and related regulatory commitments
  • Own and maintain the model management roadmap, translating strategy, risk priorities, and regulatory requirements into a prioritized validation, remediation, and governance plan
  • Drive model prioritization across model risk, regulatory commitments, validation findings, technical sustainability, and capacity
  • Coordinate and oversee model validation, ensuring findings, recommendations, limitations, assumptions, and model risks are documented, tracked, and remediated
  • Partner with Model Risk Management, Financial Crime, Technology, and Operations to ensure validation requirements and outcomes are understood and addressed
  • Coordinate priorities, dependencies, remediation activities, and governance outcomes across multiple Transaction Monitoring initiatives
  • Define and communicate governance priorities, validation outcomes, remediation plans, and success measures; represent models in governance/validation/prioritization forums
  • Maintain end-to-end model lifecycle ownership: design and implementation through validation, approval, ongoing monitoring, change management, periodic review, and retirement
  • Use validation results, model performance metrics, risk insights, and regulatory feedback to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance
  • Track and close model findings, audit observations, regulatory commitments, and risk acceptance actions with timely remediation and evidence of compliance
  • Understand and reflect dependencies across Transaction Monitoring, data, technology, operations, and wider Financial Crime capabilities in governance decisions

Requirements

  • Experience in governance, oversight, and continuous management of Transaction Monitoring models and related regulatory commitments
  • Experience in model management, validation, remediation, and governance activities
  • Understanding of financial crime strategy, risk priorities, regulatory requirements, and business needs
  • Ability to work with model validation findings including recommendations, limitations, assumptions, and model risks
  • Experience collaborating with Capability Leads, Model Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Model Risk Management, Financial Crime, Technology, and Operations
  • Experience coordinating priorities, dependencies, remediation activities, and governance outcomes across Transaction Monitoring initiatives
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end model lifecycle (design, implementation, validation, approval, monitoring, change management, periodic review, retirement)
  • Ability to analyze validation results, model performance metrics, risk insights, regulatory feedback, and stakeholder input
