Description

The Nordea Finance Programme involves new data integrations, scenario development, testing, and activation across multiple countries. In this role, you will contribute to delivering a Contextual Monitoring solution for Nordea Finance receivables, prioritized for 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and validation of transaction monitoring models, emphasizing documentation, review, and governance
  • Drive model governance activities within TMU, including validation assessments and implementing second-line feedback
  • Define the direction for model development and experimental design, balancing analytical rigor with practical constraints
  • Design model outcomes and collaborate with the analytics team to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Provide hands-on support for prototyping tests and analytical methodologies
  • Mentor and collaborate with the analytics team to develop, test, and implement standard operating procedures
  • Represent the organization professionally with external and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in model risk management, governance, and model validation
  • Strong background in data science, statistics, and quantitative methods
  • Experience in academic or technical writing, especially for model documentation
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
  • Experience in Financial Crime/AML, particularly transaction monitoring and with technology suppliers (preferred)
  • Experience as a model validator or quantitative risk analyst (preferred)
  • Organized, structured, proactive, assertive, and results-oriented
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
