• Team (target): 9 people (Architect, Backend/Frontend Developers, Security Engineer, QA, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Mobile Developer)

Description

You will help build a modular, multi-tenant, API-first platform for managing insurance operations across the entire policy lifecycle. The architect will code as well as design, covering workflows from application intake and verification/routing to contract/document management, monitoring, commission reporting, and future client-facing apps. The solution is developed with security-by-design and GDPR/RODO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend components of a modular multi-tenant platform

• Design and build REST APIs and integrate external systems using REST and SOAP/XML

• Develop asynchronous messaging flows using Kafka or RabbitMQ

• Ensure scalability, high availability, security, performance, and maintainability

• Produce and present architectural documentation and technical decisions

Requirements

• Senior experience in software development, including a role such as Software/Solution/Java Architect, Tech Lead, or similar

• Must-have: insurance industry experience (regulated insurance domain)

• Expert knowledge of Java and Spring Boot

• Hands-on design of distributed systems, microservices, or modular architectures

• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs

• Experience with SOAP/XML integrations

• Experience with asynchronous messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ)

• Strong relational database knowledge, especially PostgreSQL

• Experience designing solutions for S3-compatible object storage

• Strong understanding of design and architectural patterns

• Ability to design for scalability, high availability, security, and performance

• Ability to create architectural documentation and present decisions to stakeholders

• English proficiency B2/C1
