Description

You will concept, design, and continuously improve campus and data center network architecture on Cisco platforms (IOS/NX-OS), including segmentation, redundancy, and security. You will plan and implement network projects (routing, switching, firewalls) from architecture through migration, rollout, and documentation, while operating and optimizing the infrastructure with 3rd-level troubleshooting. You will also implement security measures and policies (e.g., NAC/802.1X, Firepower/ASA, Zero Trust) in line with ISMS and IT security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive, design, and further develop campus and data center architecture on Cisco (IOS/NX-OS)
  • Plan and implement network projects: routing, switching, and firewalls (architecture, migration, rollout, documentation)
  • Operate, monitor, optimize, and perform 3rd-level troubleshooting
  • Implement security measures and policies aligned with ISMS and IT security requirements (NAC/802.1X, Firepower/ASA, Zero Trust)
  • Collaborate with application, project, and security teams and create architecture and operations concepts

Requirements

  • Multi-year experience in network planning and architecture in enterprise environments, with emphasis on Cisco (routing, switching, security)
  • Solid operational experience including 3rd-level troubleshooting, monitoring tools, and ITIL-oriented change/release processes
  • Experience with network automation (e.g., Ansible, Python, APIs) and structured documentation (e.g., Visio, NetBox, Confluence)
  • Very good protocol/technology knowledge (OSPF, VLAN, STP, HSRP/VRRP) and secure handling of Cisco IOS/NX-OS
  • Very good German skills and a team-oriented, structured way of working
