Description

Join an international team working on a data warehouse project involving ETL/ELT processes and data integration across systems. You will blend QA automation, data testing, and QA engineering while independently analyzing issues spanning applications, APIs, and the data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and execute manual and automated tests for data warehouse solutions
• Design and develop tests for data, data integration, and data pipelines
• Automate regression tests and tests for data pipeline processes
• Test and validate ETL/ELT processes and verify correct data flow between source systems, the data warehouse, the integration layer, and the reporting layer
• Create test scenarios and cases, and report results
• Analyze data quality, identify inconsistencies, and determine root sources of issues
• Test integrations between systems
• Test REST API and SOAP services; analyze API responses, error messages, and logs
• Prepare SQL queries to verify data correctness and consistency
• Participate in system, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• Document test results and report defects
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data teams

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in testing software/systems based on data pipelines
• Very good experience with test automation
• Very good SQL knowledge
• Experience testing data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with GCP BigQuery
• Experience testing REST API and/or SOAP
• Experience working with large volumes of data
• Ability to analyze problems at the intersection of application – API – data warehouse
• Knowledge of tools: Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Jira/Azure DevOps/TestRail
• Knowledge of SSMS, Oracle SQL Developer, DBeaver, or similar tools
