Description

You will be the first hire in Poland and build the Warsaw engineering hub from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role where you shape local technical direction, stay close to code and infrastructure, and collaborate with founders and tech leadership across Switzerland and Finland.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new engineering team and engineering culture in Warsaw

• Stay hands-on with AWS infrastructure, configuration, and CI/CD pipeline work

• Own DevOps and infrastructure practices, including monitoring, incident response, and operational security

• Support payment infrastructure and partner integration engineering needs

• Hire and shape staffing decisions for future developers and DevOps engineers

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on professional technical experience

• Proven technical leadership experience (fintech, banking, payments, regulated environment, or SaaS)

• Strong AWS background with security architecture and DevOps

• Hands-on capability across infrastructure configuration and CI/CD

• Solid Terraform for provisioning and managing AWS environments

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (ideally AWS EKS), Helm, and Argo CD with GitOps

• Practical monitoring, incident response, and operational security experience

• Experience coordinating teams and contributing to hiring decisions

• Ability to evaluate code and architecture in modern backend stacks (TypeScript/Kotlin)

• Excellent English communication

• Comfortable with on-site work to build the team and culture in an early-stage environment
