Description

You will build and run the operations capability for enterprise applications on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on defining processes, standards, and automation to ensure secure, resilient, scalable, and efficient consumption of cloud services, while meeting security, risk, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) requirements. You will lead a globally distributed DevOps team and be accountable for KPIs, SLAs, escalations, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage direct reports (hiring, objective setting, performance reviews and ratings)

  • Define and refine the Cloud Operations support scope

  • Own management reporting against KPIs and SLAs and track progress on initiatives

  • Manage escalations and drive operational improvements

  • Train and develop a globally distributed, highly technical team

  • Ensure non-functional and BCP requirements are met

  • Ensure platforms meet the operational risk framework and architecture governance, policies, and standards

  • Represent platform teams in discussions with internal IT partners and with Google, AWS, and Azure

  • Maintain internal knowledge bases and records of key implementation decisions

  • Gather requirements and create continuous feedback loops between customers and Operations teams

Requirements

  • Enterprise operations management experience

  • People management experience for teams of at least 10

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Non-Functional Requirements

  • Demonstrable CSP experience across infrastructure build/configuration (Compute, Containers, Container OS, container orchestration, Storage, IAM, SDN/VPC/XPN)

  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and continuous testing

  • Understanding of physical and software-defined networks

  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management, including RBAC and organizational hierarchies

  • Understanding of operating systems and container technologies

  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional service management environment

  • Experience dealing with multiple support groups in a supply chain

  • Experience in enterprise Financial Services or similar regulated environments

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and agile delivery mindset

  • Strong customer/stakeholder focus and relationship-building

  • Experience with operational effectiveness and alignment to approved design patterns and security/risk/regulatory standards

  • Track record of continuous improvement and successful change implementation

  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve challenging short-, medium-, and long-term goals

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Track record of building internal networks based on trust

  • Comprehensive understanding of IT and business risk management

  • Experience producing qualitative and quantitative management reporting

  • Experience with budget planning and management

  • Experience dealing with IT Audit, Security, and Risk
