Description

Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW and SAP HANA solutions for manufacturing and business analytics, including data models, workflows, and reporting.

Build HANA native models (Calculation Views, CDS Views, procedures, SQLScript) and ETL pipelines to integrate data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and non-SAP sources.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile (SAFe) to deliver scalable analytics and real-time dashboards (SAP Analytics Cloud, Spotfire), ensuring high data quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW solutions (InfoObjects, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, Queries)
• Create SAP HANA native models (Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, SQLScript)
• Build scalable data architectures and workflows for analytics and operational reporting
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems
• Enable interactive dashboards and real-time reporting in SAP Analytics Cloud and other visual tools (e.g., Spotfire)
• Monitor data flows, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain high data quality
• Optimize data processing performance and scalability for large datasets and complex workflows
• Gather requirements with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects and deliver tailored solutions
• Work in Agile (SAFe) environments: sprints, planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW and HANA development
• Strong SAP BW development skills: InfoObjects, DataSources, DSOs, Transformations, Process Chains, Queries
• Strong SAP HANA native modeling skills: Calculation Views, Procedures, CDS Views, SQLScript
• ETL and data pipeline design experience in SAP environments (BW or HANA)
• Experience integrating SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA) with third-party tools
• Database optimization and performance tuning skills
• Familiarity with Web IDE for SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA
• Experience with Agile collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, ADO)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Solid foundation in backend and ETL development with SAP systems
• ABAP knowledge to support BW activities (extractors development, code optimizations)
• Proven ability to optimize large-scale datasets and workflows
• Strong collaboration skills in Agile environments
• Manufacturing or engineering domain experience is a plus
