Description

Design and maintain SAP HANA native models, ETL pipelines, and backend data workflows to support analytics and complex business processes across manufacturing, engineering, and operations. Optimize performance for large datasets using SAP HANA in-memory capabilities, ensure high data quality through monitoring and troubleshooting, and enable real-time insights for dashboards via SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other visualization tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile (SAFe) delivery and document technical best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models (Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, SQLScript)

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines integrating SAP and non-SAP sources (including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA)

• Create scalable data flows and data architectures with cross-functional partners

• Develop end-to-end data workflows with monitoring to resolve data discrepancies

• Enable interactive dashboards and real-time insights via SAC and other visualization tools

• Support business processes with custom analytics, KPI tracking, and actionable insights

• Optimize data processing performance for complex workflows and large datasets

• Work with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions

• Participate in Agile (SAFe) workflows (sprints, planning, retrospectives)

• Document and maintain technical best practices and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA development (or equivalent SAP roles)

• Hands-on expertise in SAP HANA native modeling: Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, SQLScript

• Experience designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines in SAP environments

• Familiarity with integrating SAP systems such as SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA into data workflows

• Expertise in data performance optimization, database tuning, and scalability

• Experience with SAP BW is a plus (InfoObjects, DSOs, Process Chains, data transformations)

• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and hands-on experience with SAP Web IDE and BW/4HANA tools

• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
