Description

Drive consulting and delivery for scalable cloud-based data and analytics architectures on AWS and/or Google Cloud. Design and guide solutions across Data Lake, DWH, Lakehouse, Data Fabric and Data Mesh, while ensuring architecture principles, quality standards, and best practices. Act as a lead partner for stakeholders up to management and C-level, and support responsible AI adoption within your scope.

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on cloud-based Data & Analytics architectures (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Fabric, Data Mesh)

  • Design customer-specific solutions using AWS and/or Google Cloud best practices

  • Ensure high-quality and efficient delivery as Product Owner, Data Architect, or Lead Developer

  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including management and C-level

  • Own the content of Cloud Data Engineering engagements and act as a central point of contact for team members and customers

  • Ensure compliance with architecture principles and quality standards; continuously evolve cloud data & analytics practices and best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in (cloud) data platforms and Big Data ecosystems

  • In-depth knowledge of data platform and Big Data technologies (Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Iceberg, etc.) and cloud analytics services (AWS, GCP)

  • Practical, multi-year experience in leadership roles such as Product Owner, Data Architect, Lead Developer, or equivalent

  • Strong experience with data platform architecture concepts (Data Lake, DWH, data modeling, Data Mesh, Delta Lake)

  • Routine project experience with Databricks and PySpark, including sound technology decision-making

  • Detailed knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud analytics services and ability to design scalable data & analytics architectures

  • Deep AI expertise and contribution to responsible AI use for customers and internally

  • Very good German and good English communication skills (written and spoken)
