Description

Design and own enterprise metadata and data discovery architectures to enable safe, scalable AI adoption in a highly regulated investment environment. Define metadata management and data governance strategies, build federated metadata across domains, and design semantic layers including business glossaries and knowledge graphs. Provide architecture documentation, guidance to engineering teams, and lead workshops with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and own enterprise metadata and data discovery architectures
• Define metadata management and data governance strategies
• Build federated metadata architectures across multiple business domains
• Design semantic layers, business glossaries, and knowledge graphs
• Establish metadata quality standards and governance processes
• Lead architecture workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Serve as design authority and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams
• Create architecture documentation and support strategic data and AI initiatives

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Platform roles
• 3+ years of experience in Metadata Management, Data Governance, or Data Cataloging
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data catalog solutions such as DataHub, OpenMetadata, Collibra (or similar)
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, data discovery, and data quality
• Experience designing federated (hub-and-spoke) metadata architectures
• Knowledge of semantic modeling, business glossaries, and knowledge graphs
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
• Ability to create and present architecture documentation to senior stakeholders
