Description

As a Cloud Architect, you will analyze existing IT and application landscapes and derive cloud target architectures from business needs. You will develop cloud strategies and roadmaps (public, hybrid, private cloud), design and evolve cloud architectures including platform, network, and operating models, and concept cloud landing zones covering governance, security, cost management, and compliance. You will lead architecture reviews and support cloud migration and modernization projects in close collaboration with business, IT, Security, Sales, and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing IT and application landscapes and derive cloud target architectures

• Develop cloud strategies and roadmaps (public, hybrid, private cloud)

• Design and further develop cloud architectures, including platform, network, and operating models

• Concept cloud landing zones with governance, security, cost management, and compliance

• Assess and classify workloads (mission-critical, cloud-ready, modernization potential)

• Lead architecture activities during cloud migrations and modernization projects

• Define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices

• Conduct architecture reviews and provide well-founded recommendation decisions

• Act as a technical sparring partner in close collaboration with business, IT, Security, Sales, and Delivery

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification

• At least 3 years of cloud infrastructure experience

• Solid knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) and translating business requirements into IT architectures

• Experience with architecture guidelines/frameworks such as TOGAF and the Zachman Framework, and with cloud strategies (preferably Azure)

• Technical expertise in modern infrastructure technologies: virtualization, containers, microservices, Kubernetes, networking, security

• Experience implementing and evaluating applications and platforms (ERP, CRM, Data Analytics, AI & ML)

• Very good German language skills
