Description

You will translate customer and market insights into product strategy, requirements, and roadmaps for electrophysiology innovation. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Sales, and regional marketing to move concepts from discovery through launch. In this role, you’ll also lead competitive analysis and voice-of-customer activities while serving as a technical adviser and representing the company with users and accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review corporate short- and long-range plans, goals, and product vision/strategy/roadmap

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research of customer and professional audience behavior

  • Assess profitability and viability for new products and enhancements; drive segmentation and positioning

  • Identify unmet customer needs and commercial opportunities

  • Develop product user needs and marketing strategies/tactics across the full product life cycle

  • Lead voice-of-customer (VOC) and voice-of-business (VOB) activities and convert insights into clear product requirements

  • Finalize product specifications with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Sales, Clinical, and Medical Affairs

  • Serve as a technical adviser and troubleshoot product issues

  • Gather and challenge input from global counterparts to refine product decisions

  • Represent the company through account/user visits to solicit feedback

  • Consolidate and disseminate competitive knowledge for the global EP ablation landscape by region

  • Support regional training for marketing and sales teams

  • Use marketing insights for segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, and tool creation/execution

  • Network across divisions to align strategies and opportunities

  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality

Requirements

  • Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices (typically advanced education plus experience)

  • Broad knowledge of project management

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent outside the U.S. per degree equivalency requirements) with 7+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years relevant experience

  • 3+ years of product management experience in a commercial medical device setting (preferred)

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive communications strategies (preferred)

  • Proven business acumen and experience using secondary research plus qualitative and quantitative primary research to derive customer insights from clinical data

  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (Marketing, Clinical, R&D, Health Economics, Sales) and develop working relationships

  • Ability to create and sustain stakeholder relationships; outstanding internal/external customer service skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter who can perform in a fast-paced environment

  • Travel up to 20% (including international) as required
