Description

As a Sales Specialist, you’ll be one of the first people customers meet. You’ll help customers find millwork solutions for their projects by answering questions, discussing needs, and advising on specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales. You’ll also coordinate estimates, schedule installer visits, process and track orders/installations, and follow up to ensure project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out customers to understand needs, answer questions, and communicate product and service advantages

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors: provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process/track orders and installations, and follow up to completion

  • Monitor inventory levels with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order replacement stock

  • Perform price reviews by pricing policies and ensure pricing documentation is maintained

  • Support checkout functions and requests for assistance

  • Train associates on the sales floor through on-the-job training and coaching

  • Complete other assigned duties

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year experience in customer-facing sales OR 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience substitution)

  • 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required goals/metrics

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic

  • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or lift over 25 lbs with/without accommodation

  • Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state law
