• Role: QA Automation Engineer (Microservices)

Description

You will test digital business solutions for clients, including payments, fleet cards, fuel station management, car washes, and invoicing, in a microservices environment. The role involves planning and executing a QA automation strategy, building and maintaining automated tests in Java using REST Assured and TestNG/JUnit, and designing API, functional, integration, and regression tests. You will also own the QA process end-to-end (including manual testing where automation is not applicable) and collaborate with developers to integrate tests into CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and implement testing strategy for a microservices architecture; identify risks and select the right testing approach

• Build and maintain automated tests in Java using REST Assured and TestNG/JUnit

• Design and run API, functional, integration, and regression tests to verify correct behavior of individual services

• Take end-to-end responsibility for QA, including manual testing for areas not covered by automation

• Work closely with developers, including participating in code reviews and integrating tests into CI/CD

• Validate data in databases, document the QA process, and maintain ongoing project communication

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in test automation: design, development, maintenance, and practical use of tools/frameworks supporting testing

• Very good Java knowledge and hands-on experience with automation using REST Assured and TestNG/JUnit

• Experience with API testing (functional, integration, regression) and good knowledge of Postman

• Good database knowledge and ability to validate data as part of test coverage

• Knowledge of programming best practices (OOP, SOLID, KISS) and SDLC

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools/processes and Git version control system

• Very good English (minimum C1)

• Nice to have: performance testing with Gatling

• Nice to have: testing knowledge in cloud environments
