Description

This COBOL Project Manager role focuses on managing end-to-end projects for payment systems, ensuring their design, deployment, and follow-up in a Mainframe environment. You will coordinate technical teams and stakeholders, gather and analyze functional and technical needs, and drive development through testing, qualification, and integration. You will also support production rollout, manage risks and issues, and contribute to change management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Pilot projects end-to-end, from design to deployment

  • Coordinate technical teams and all stakeholders

  • Collect and analyze functional and technical requirements

  • Write and/or supervise specifications

  • Organize and follow development, testing, qualification, and integration phases

  • Track activities in a Mainframe/COBOL environment

  • Participate in technical and functional analyses

  • Perform and/or supervise code reviews

  • Build and track project plans, capacity/effort, and milestones

  • Coordinate with the business owner (MOA) and business teams

  • Track risks, anomalies, and potential blockers

  • Support teams during production and deployment phases

  • Participate in change management and continuous improvement actions

Requirements

  • Significant experience in IT project management

  • Deep knowledge of COBOL and Mainframe environments

  • At least 3 years of experience in project leadership

  • Skills coordinating technical teams

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in payment environments

  • Understanding of financial information systems

  • Knowledge of the banking or payment methods sector
