Description

Experienced SAP HCM Consultant required to maintain and develop SAP HCM processes, with a focus on German Payroll (PY) and Personnel Administration (PA). The role combines hands-on SAP configuration and payroll expertise with direct client communication and ownership of incidents and change requests end to end.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and resolve SAP HCM incidents, hot fixes, and change requests, mainly for German Payroll (PY) and Personnel Administration (PA)
• Analyse business requirements and reported issues, propose solutions, and configure/implement changes in SAP
• Troubleshoot German Payroll issues considering local regulations and processes (ELStAM, ELStAM-PKV, DEÜV, rvBEA)
• Perform payroll-related technical activities (data preparation, system configuration, follow-up)
• Communicate directly with clients/requestors/Project Managers from initial analysis through resolution and closure
• Participate in testing and validation of implemented changes; prepare technical and functional documentation
• Provide support during emergency situations and short-term SAP Payroll disruptions
• Support HRSP imports and perform SPDD/SPAU analysis
• Handle import and processing of initial OSS corrections
• Cooperate with project teams and clients to ensure HR and Payroll process continuity, stability, and correct operations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an SAP HCM Consultant
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM Payroll (PY), particularly German Payroll
• Practical knowledge of German payroll regulations and processes, including ELStAM, DEÜV, and rvBEA
• Experience in SAP HCM configuration, including payroll functions, rules, and processes
• Experience handling incidents, change requests, and emergency situations in an SAP environment
• Strong communication skills and proven client-facing experience
• Fluent English
