Senior Computer Vision Software Developer

Senior • On-site

14,500 - 16,500 PLN/yr

Gliwice, Poland

Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Computer Vision Software Developer

Description

The Senior Computer Vision Software Developer will build and optimize the software platform for fixed industrial smart cameras and a desktop application. The work centers on two cross-platform native codebases: an on-device runtime engine (a Linux daemon for device lifecycle, IPC, and vision job execution) and a machine-vision tools integration library. The role emphasizes robust architecture, real-time optimization, and high-quality design using modern C++ (C++23) and agentic AI coding tools.

Role Description

  • Work within the Core Smart Camera Software team to deliver product-ready computer-vision capabilities.
  • Operate with minimal day-to-day instruction, determining solutions independently for complex problems.
  • Use agentic AI programming tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding while maintaining focus on architecture and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Define requirements and prioritize features for moderately complex cross-platform native projects.
  • Deliver end-to-end software design and development, converting core algorithms into high-performance, product-ready tools.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews with strict quality expectations (0 warnings) using clang-tidy, clang-format, and SonarQube.
  • Optimize real-time image-processing pipelines and IPC for resource-constrained smart camera hardware.
  • Develop tests and create comprehensive documentation for market-ready product delivery.
  • Potentially develop custom build/test/debug automation tools and scripts (e.g., CMake, Python).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of preferred relevant work experience.
  • Expert proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20/23).
  • Strong multi-threading and cross-platform build experience (CMake) and dependency management (Conan or vcpkg).
  • Solid software architecture knowledge, including cross-platform development (Linux & Windows) and IPC.
  • Testing and debugging experience for native code (GTest; gdb, valgrind, sanitizers).
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies; preferred experience with machine vision libraries and native-to-scripting bridges (Node.js N-API) or networking/IPC frameworks (DBus, ZeroMQ, Boost).
  • Proven ability to solve problems and optimize concurrent software while handling multithreading portability pitfalls.
  • Proficiency with Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to mentor and influence junior team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a performance-sensitive environment.
