Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership for implementing complex software projects within interdisciplinary teams. Depending on the project context, you contribute in areas such as backend, frontend, DevOps, or AI engineering, while designing durable software architectures iteratively. The role emphasizes strong code understanding and the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot) to make software development more efficient and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of challenging software solutions in an interdisciplinary team

  • Contribute to concepting and implementing complex software projects with customers

  • Work in agile practices (daily scrums, customer reviews, retrospectives)

  • Design maintainable software architectures iteratively and incrementally

  • Apply DevOps methods to deliver value quickly and gather user feedback

  • Introduce new and stable technologies where appropriate

  • Collaborate in a self-organized project team and actively participate in shaping the organization

Requirements

  • ~5 years practical experience in software development

  • Very good German and English skills (at least C1) for explaining complex technical topics

  • Proven collaboration mindset and active knowledge sharing

  • Experience with AI for Software Engineering and responsible use of AI coding tools

  • Strong architecture and system thinking; can evaluate decisions for architecture, maintainability, operations, and cost

  • Strong understanding of high-quality code; can ramp up in existing codebases and assess human/AI-generated code critically

  • Growth mindset and openness to new technologies and tasks
