Description

Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for claims management systems, providing architectural leadership across teams. Build scalable, reliable, well-tested solutions for complex insurance claim workflows, using AI automation to remove bottlenecks and improve productivity. Partner with internal teams and external insurance partners to deliver integrated, production-grade risk and claims capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical roadmap for claims management systems aligned with Product, Claim Operations, and Data Science

  • Lead architectural decisions and design tradeoffs across multiple engineering teams

  • Understand claim handling workflows and apply AI automation/platform innovations to resolve pain points

  • Deliver scalable, reliable, high-quality, well-tested code

  • Ensure technical alignment and scalable integrations with insurance partners

  • Lead code reviews, design reviews, production on-call support, and incident triage

  • Share knowledge via brown bags/tech talks and improve engineering practices

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field, or relevant work experience

  • 6+ years building scalable distributed systems with high availability, observability, and reliability

  • Ability to build end-to-end products/platforms and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong reasoning about system design, architecture, domain modeling, and operational cost tradeoffs

  • Experience building AI features using multimodal LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows

  • Experience driving AI adoption or AI automation for development efficiency

  • Experience improving performance with robust evaluations, agent tracing tools, fine-tuning LLMs, optimizing RAG pipelines, and feedback loops

  • Proficiency in Python

  • Knowledge of React/Next.js and data analysis is a plus

  • Experience with data processing frameworks and tools such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow and cloud provisioning environments

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)
