Description

Join the plant team to safely and efficiently perform cross-functional duties across plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation. You will grease and lubricate plant equipment, maintain housekeeping, operate equipment, and perform routine maintenance. The role also supports preventative maintenance and daily equipment inspections, and may include operating mobile equipment such as skid steers, loaders, excavators, and haul trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment, including cutting and welding under guidance

• Conduct daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance logs

• Clean around plant equipment and maintain roadways/parking areas using hand tools and mobile equipment (e.g., skid steer, front-end loader)

• Operate a water truck to limit airborne dust

• Participate in plant operations, including production, loading and shipping, and quality control

• Maintain housekeeping and safe traffic flow across the site

• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment (e.g., excavators, haul trucks) as needed

• Aid in training of co-workers as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position

• Experience in the building materials industry (preferred)
