Description

You will provide courier logistics coverage by safely transporting medical specimens and lab materials between pickup points and the client branch. The role includes dispatch and pickup support, training new couriers, and using a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickup schedules. You’ll work with the dispatcher to adjust for additional pickups as needed and consider traffic, alternate routes, and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a floater for the logistics team to cover various routes
• Provide on-route training for new couriers/drivers
• Assist with dispatch and pickups as needed
• Load necessary items for daily pickups
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver daily pickups to the branch at the end of each shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently
• Safely operate the company vehicle and obey traffic laws
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions

Requirements

• 3+ years of driver or courier experience
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• At least 21 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical demands
• Strong punctuality, time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (and Flu if needed) or qualify for medical/religious accommodations
