Description

You will be part of a Managed Services team responsible for operating, supporting, and developing database platforms in an enterprise environment. The focus is on database administration, monitoring, incident/problem handling within SLAs, performance optimization, security hardening, and backup/restore management across Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate Oracle Database, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server
• Install, configure, and upgrade database servers
• Handle incidents, problems, and requests in line with SLAs
• Monitor availability, performance, and capacity of database environments
• Analyze performance issues and optimize database systems
• Design and implement database hardening according to security standards
• Design, manage, and test backup and restore procedures
• Support application teams with database-related troubleshooting
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams for operational requirements
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standards
• Provide expert consulting on database technologies and architecture

Requirements

• Experience administering Oracle Database, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server
• Solid SQL knowledge and understanding of relational database principles
• Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, and operations of database systems
• Ability to diagnose and resolve database performance and operational problems
• Experience with backup, restore, and ensuring database high availability
• Knowledge of database security, hardening, and permissions management
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server environments
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve technical issues
• Communicative English
