Description

You will administer and maintain production, test, and development database environments to ensure high availability, performance, security, and business continuity. Responsibilities include installation/configuration, patching and updates, user and permissions management, monitoring and troubleshooting, SQL optimization, and managing backups and restores. You will also support high-availability and Disaster Recovery mechanisms and participate in migrations and infrastructure modernization projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases in production, test, and development environments

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (patching and updates)

• Manage database users, permissions, and resources

• Monitor availability and performance; diagnose and resolve incidents

• Optimize SQL queries and database configuration

• Manage backups and data restore processes

• Maintain high-availability and Disaster Recovery mechanisms

• Participate in database migrations and environment development/standardization projects

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams

• Create and update technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 3–4 years of DBA experience for Oracle or PostgreSQL

• Experience with database installation, configuration, and maintenance

• Knowledge of backup, restore, and baseline high-availability concepts

• Ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries

• Solid Linux knowledge

• Ability to troubleshoot using logs

• English knowledge for technical documentation
