Description

The role supports a leading automotive project in the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) space, centered on implementing safety mechanisms and diagnostic capabilities in low-level embedded software. You will work close to the hardware, developing and tuning safety-related functions and ensuring proper monitoring and fault handling.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and validate safety mechanisms and diagnostic features in embedded software

  • Work on low-level components such as register access, interrupt handling, memory/peripheral diagnostics, and watchdog strategies

  • Support startup and runtime safety checks, fault handling, and transitions to safe-state

  • Adapt quickly to new platforms based on functional-safety and safety-diagnostics experience

Requirements

  • Experience with embedded development in C++ in an automotive environment

  • Hands-on low-level embedded development (driver-level work, registry access, interrupt handling, memory/peripheral diagnostics, watchdogs, monitoring clock/reset/power)

  • Practical experience implementing safety mechanisms and diagnostics

  • Strong hardware-near embedded profile for implementing and tuning safety functions tied to hardware

  • Knowledge of MISRA rules and unit testing
