Description

Take ownership of critical embedded software components: maintain existing products through debugging and bug fixing, and develop new features in C and C++.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality embedded software in C and C++ for camera-based security devices
  • Debug and resolve complex software, hardware, and network connectivity issues across the entire software stack
  • Develop new features and improve existing codebases
  • Optimize software performance for resource-constrained embedded environments
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies
  • Document software designs, APIs, libraries, and troubleshooting procedures

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of commercial embedded development experience
  • Expertise in C and C++ (C++17 standard)
  • Deep knowledge of RTOS
  • Deep knowledge of microcontroller architectures (ARM, RISC-V)
  • Proficiency in the full SDLC (Git, CMake, code reviews, continuous integration)
  • Solid understanding of network programming and experience with multithreading on multicore microcontrollers
  • Expertise in communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi)
  • Experience writing device drivers and libraries
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills for technical discussions and documentation (collaborative cross-functional environment)
  • Upper-Intermediate English (B2)
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Experience with cross-compilation toolchains
