Description

You will develop and maintain the embedded software that controls industrial tools, spanning near-hardware programming, Linux-based systems, and communication with modern industrial hardware. The role supports product development from idea to series readiness, collaborating closely with hardware, electronics, and construction teams. You will implement new functions for the Embedded-Linux platform, debug and analyze issues, and ensure quality through tests and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend embedded software on Linux in C and C++

• Analyze technical requirements and create software designs and technical concepts

• Implement new features for the embedded Linux platform and existing products

• Debug and perform error analysis using modern embedded development tools

• Run unit and system tests to ensure quality and stability

• Optimize performance, memory usage, and system stability

• Create technical documentation throughout the development process

• Work closely with hardware development, testing, product management, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable qualification

• Very strong C and C++ development knowledge

• Experience with Embedded Linux system development

• Confident handling of debuggers, cross-compilers, and build systems

• Experience designing clean, well-structured software and using object-oriented concepts

• Good German and English skills

• TCP/IP network protocol knowledge is beneficial
