Description

Work on a project for a large organization in the financial sector where you design and develop scalable, secure backend services and cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform. This role is for an experienced engineer who continues to write production code while also thinking about architecture, security, automation, and the wider technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production backend services, with strong use of Go
  • Design and evolve scalable, secure service architecture running on Google Cloud Platform
  • Design solutions for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run
  • Build event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub
  • Optimize PostgreSQL performance in high-concurrency environments
  • Own the full lifecycle of services: implementation, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and cost optimization
  • Design and manage OAuth2 and OpenID Connect mechanisms in a GCP environment
  • Develop infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Design for security, automation, observability, and reliability

Requirements

  • Very strong knowledge of Go and experience building and deploying production services
  • Experience with Python and/or Node.js
  • Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially GKE, Cloud Run, or Filestore
  • Knowledge of Terraform and an Infrastructure as Code approach
  • Practical experience designing scalable and secure backend services
  • Hands-on knowledge of security topics, including Zero Trust, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect
  • Fluent communication in English
