Description

You will work on the in-house development and long-term enhancement of PHP web applications and a Shopware 6 platform. The role focuses on building and maintaining REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations, while optimizing performance and fixing complex bugs. You will also contribute to architecture and technology decisions.

Responsibilities

• Further develop existing PHP web applications
• Enhance the Shopware 6 system
• Develop custom functions, extensions, and Shopware plugins
• Build and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and interfaces
• Integrate external systems and service providers
• Work with MySQL and MariaDB
• Analyze and fix complex bugs
• Improve internal admin and automation processes
• Optimize performance and application stability
• Support frontend adaptations with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Twig
• Advance deployment, staging, and production processes
• Improve logging and monitoring
• Create technical documentation for key systems and processes
• Collaborate on architecture and technology choices
• Technical alignment with external developers and agencies
• Review and assess external development deliverables

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in web/software development
• Very good PHP skills
• Very good knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB
• Good to very good experience with REST APIs and interfaces/integrations
• Good knowledge of object-oriented software development
• Confident with Git
• Experience with systematic error analysis and debugging
• Understanding of clean, secure, long-term maintainable code
• Ability to independently understand complex existing applications
• Ability to translate business requirements into sensible technical solutions
• Independent, solution-oriented way of working
• Very good German language skills
