Description

As an IT Governance Manager, you will define, institutionalize, and enforce the group-wide IT governance framework across all technology areas. You will work with C-level executives and senior leaders to shape how IT operates globally, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate strategy and Board expectations. The role has enterprise-wide impact on the IT operating model, governance structures, and risk posture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of the group-wide IT governance framework, including policies and standards
  • Define and enforce governance principles across business units and geographies; ensure structures are binding, auditable, and regulatory-compliant
  • Advise C-level executives on IT governance, risk exposure, and standards rollout; prepare materials for executive committees and Board-level decisions
  • Drive harmonization and maturity of governance practices across regions; ensure transparency of standards, service quality, and operational effectiveness
  • Steer governance-related transformation initiatives with Group Technology-wide impact
  • Support the creation and review of IT strategy to ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Coordinate and align regional and functional stakeholders for consistent adoption of group governance standards

Requirements

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in IT governance within global, complex, matrix organizations (ideally in Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services)
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO standards) and the regulatory environment
  • Solid understanding of IT risk management, outsourcing governance, cloud governance, and operational resilience
  • Proven experience advising C-level stakeholders and preparing executive/Board-level material
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior/executive level
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and lead through expertise
