Description

Build and own backend development for e-commerce projects and complex corporate portals using PHP. Design backend architecture, implement APIs and system-to-system integrations (payments, CRM/ERP/1C, marketplaces, delivery providers), and ensure quality, performance, reliability, and scalability. Work directly with international clients in English from architecture and development through launch and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage backend development for e-commerce projects and complex corporate portals
• Design backend architecture and make key technical decisions
• Select the most suitable platform and technology stack based on client needs and business objectives
• Develop and maintain PHP-based backend systems
• Implement and maintain integrations with external systems (payment services, CRM/ERP/1C, marketplaces, delivery providers)
• Design and implement APIs and system-to-system integrations
• Take full ownership of the backend side of the project through launch and ongoing support
• Independently estimate technical tasks, identify risks, and propose implementation approaches
• Communicate with clients in English to clarify requirements and align on technical solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8.x, including OOP and SOLID principles
• Commercial development experience with Laravel and/or Symfony
• Hands-on experience with custom development on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce
• Experience with WordPress / WooCommerce (enhancements, plugins, integrations)
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs / GraphQL
• Experience integrating external systems and services (payments, CRM/ERP/1C, marketplaces, delivery)
• Strong experience with MySQL/MariaDB including SQL optimization
• Experience using Redis and other caching mechanisms
• Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD
• English: Upper-Intermediate and above
