Description

You will develop services and APIs with Go (Golang), using Python as a supporting language, for a big data and BI platform. You will design, maintain, and optimize data models and ETL/ELT processes that reliably feed dashboards, data products, and technical reporting. You will also automate recurring workflows (e.g., with GitLab CI and Salt) and help ensure stable production operation with monitoring, deployments, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Go-based services and APIs for the big data and BI platform
  • Build scalable backends for dashboards, data products, and technical analyses
  • Design, maintain, and optimize data models plus ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Automate recurring workflows using GitLab CI and Salt
  • Support stable data platform operations: monitoring, error analysis, deployments, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to implement requirements
  • Integrate new data sources, automate workflows, and maintain explainable data quality
  • Run technical proof-of-concepts for new tools, architectures, and platform components
  • Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews; contribute to platform operations

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification (via professional experience)
  • Solid Go/Golang programming skills
  • Good Python knowledge as a second language
  • Experience developing backend services, APIs, or data pipelines
  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, and performant queries
  • Comfortable working with Git in a team context
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI)
  • Good German and English language skills
