Description

Own data quality, integration, and development of a knowledge graph platform used to consolidate drug discovery and gene biology data. You will define validation/provenance/quality metrics, integrate and harmonize heterogeneous biomedical datasets, and maintain a reliable Neo4j schema and pipelines to support AI/analytics use cases (including Blindspot Analysis). Collaborate with research scientists, data scientists, and engineers to align scientific needs with dependable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce data validation, provenance tracking, and data quality metrics across all graph data sources
• Ingest, normalize, and harmonize biomedical datasets from internal and external providers
• Manage the Neo4j schema, data modeling, and pipeline reliability
• Prepare graph data for AI and analytics use cases
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific and engineering teams

Requirements

• Strong Python skills for data engineering and pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with Neo4j (Cypher, schema design, query optimization)
• Proven experience integrating multiple heterogeneous biomedical data sources
• Deep understanding of data quality practices in production environments
• Experience resolving schema, identifier, and consistency issues with data providers
• Familiarity with biomedical standards and identifiers (UniProt, Ensembl, ChEMBL, etc.)
• Strong communication skills with cross-functional scientific and technical teams
