Senior Data Engineer – Cloud Platforms & Big Data Processing

Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, foster cross-team collaboration, and drive technical excellence on modern, cloud-native data platforms. You will help shape data-driven innovation and accelerate digital transformation.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, production-ready code for data systems.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives to ensure scalable and reliable data solutions.
• Create libraries and frameworks supporting robust, testable data architectures.
• Build and operate large-scale data pipelines and distributed processing systems using Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, and related technologies.
• Demonstrate technical leadership by guiding best practices and fostering innovation in data engineering.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to support Gen AI/ML applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Java, Python, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
• Expertise in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and distributed processing systems using Spark, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Exposure to or experience with Gen AI/ML applications.
• Good command of English at a communicative level.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Gen AI frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Experience working with Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
