Description

Lead cost analysis and lifecycle cost estimating activities for U.S. Army mission-critical programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Senior Operations Research Analyst for an Army Product Office.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct independent cost analysis for assigned programs; ensure technical soundness and accurate interpretation of cost and budget results.
  • Calculate and forecast system costs, project/program expenses, and resource needs to support funding and management reviews.
  • Create and maintain lifecycle cost estimates using ACE-IT.
  • Develop cost-estimating methodologies using available datasets and advanced mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques.
  • Develop technical analyses and budgetary guidance; plan and develop controls related to budgeting activities.
  • Conduct in-depth recommendations using statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric techniques, computer modeling, regression analysis, and economic evaluation.
  • Coordinate with PAE FIRES and PM IFMC to prepare cost estimates for Acquisition Program Baselines (APBs) and milestone review documentation.
  • Create briefings and documentation communicating financial status, lifecycle costs, and future forecasts.
  • Review and analyze Earned Value Management (EVM) reports and provide actionable recommendations to Product Managers.
  • Provide concise, actionable advice to executive-level leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years’ experience; additional 4 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active Secret security clearance with ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
  • Proven experience with ACE-IT cost modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and presenting analysis to executive-level leadership in government/military/DoD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for clear documentation and briefings.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative, creativity, and sound judgment; deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment.
