Description

The Business Management Analyst will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis. You will ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate expenditure records, directing expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. You will also develop financial deliverables for the government customer and analyze Earned Value performance to support successful execution.

Your Role And Impact

  • Set up cost control system and monitor/control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management; provide fact-finding and negotiation support
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/assessment, and visibility reports
  • Develop and analyze estimates to complete
  • Assist with program resource management including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis
  • Assist with preparation of financial CDRLs
  • Other duties as assigned

This position can be hired as either a Level 3 or 4.

Basic Qualifications - Level 3

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of business management or program control experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years OR PhD OR additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Earned Value (EVMS)

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of business management or program control experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years OR PhD with 4 years OR additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Earned Value (EVMS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience
  • Program Cost Control experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS
  • Experience with Cobra, SAP, or IBM Cognos
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Financial analysis presentation experience
  • Proposal preparation, strategy development or evaluation experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

Primary level salary range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00; secondary level salary range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay, plus annual bonuses and (for some leadership roles) long-term incentives.
