Description

Lead and evolve the AI platform by expanding AI infrastructure and deployment patterns to new geographic and sovereign zones. Manage and grow a team of software and infrastructure engineers while partnering with other AI teams to define integrations and accelerate platform adoption. Ensure regulated requirements (e.g., FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 and GDPR) are met and improve reliability and scalability using KPIs and SLOs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, execution, and ongoing operation of AI infrastructure and its expansion across geographic and sovereign zones

  • Manage and coach a high-performing team of software and infrastructure engineers

  • Design and build infrastructure on AWS and GCP, including repeatable deployment patterns and configuration-driven frameworks

  • Improve CI/CD to increase developer efficiency and operational maturity

  • Partner with other AI engineering teams to define integration requirements

  • Drive architectural consistency so new-region launches reuse a common, governed foundation

  • Ensure each zone meets data-residency, security, and regulatory requirements; partner with security and compliance to achieve and maintain authorizations

  • Establish and monitor KPIs and SLOs for reliability and scalability

  • Create infrastructure design documents and clear integration guides for engineering teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years of software development experience in infrastructure, operations, and scalable system architecture

  • 3+ years managing diverse, geographically dispersed engineering teams

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with GCP and Kubernetes/GKE; Terraform experience required; AWS familiarity required

  • Proven continuous delivery and self-service automation for code and model deployments

  • Proven expertise scaling horizontal platforms/shared services using distributed-systems patterns and configuration-driven modular frameworks

  • Proven experience operating AI infrastructure, including orchestrating AI models, deploying autonomous agents, and implementing online evaluation/guardrails

  • Solid understanding of data residency, regional compliance frameworks, and vulnerability management in regulated environments

  • US citizenship and eligibility to work on federal government projects requiring FedRAMP authorization

Benefits

  • Base pay range: $198,240.00–$272,580.00 USD annually

  • Eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation
